"My family and I visited Ercolano this year primarily to visit the historic site. We found travel to Ercolano and from there to other areas to be easy and inexpensive, the people we met were wonderful in each case as everyone was very helpful, friendly and accomodating. However, the historic site was beyond my expectations, so well-kept and tidy with knowledgeable staff to help and all the amenities we could have required. A fantasic visit and one which I shall repeat - especially since I bought a yearly ticket to the site - but I will recommend a visit to Ercolan to my friends, family and associates. Thank you."

"Positives:
Bistrot De Paris Ercolano- The best Margherita Pizza I have ever eaten. Crust, sauce, mozzarella di bufala were perfect. Excellent value. It is near the train station.
Anthea B&B- Beautiful and well protected property. The key situation is challenging but manageable. The property has on site parking protected by a gate. Interior was clean, inviting, and relaxing. The owners are wonderful people. I would stay there again in spite of the negatives listed below (the property owners have no control over the negatives).
Negatives:
This area is a bit sketchy. We went for a walk down the road and within a couple hundred meters ran into a group of teens spraying graffiti on top of graffiti in an abandoned lot. The lot had trash piles and people loitering. We turned around and went back to the property. If you go out to eat, go while there is daylight or go further into Naples."

"Soltanto il centro con la strada principale che porta su alla stazione circumvesuviana e gli cavi: bellissimi! La stradina dei bar vicino al porto: bella anche quella. Ma appena fuori di questo: marciapiedi?? Spazzatura dappertutto. L’autobus come collegamento fra le due stazioni??? Informazioni al proposito???? Per noi come turisti che hanno viaggiato già tutto il mondo: deludente l’esperienza! Eravamo senza auto.
(La gente però quasi sempre gentile e simpatico!)
Il sistema di informazione ha un grande bisogno di elaborazione.
Visitare il Vesuvio: non siamo riusciti a causa della complicata ricerca di entrare “Last minute”, invece di vendere biglietti all’entrata. Pompeji: comprato biglietto “entrare senza fila”, per poi dover fare fila allo sportello, dove bisognava cambiare il biglietto comprato online. Che sistemi ridicoli e stancanti!
Un augurio di miglioramento per tutti quelli che vengono dopo di noi! "
